What’s your name and what do you do?
Chris Watson-O’Neill, TV Producer.
Who lives in your home?
Me, my husband James, our cat Vince.
How would you describe your home?
Comfortable, colourful, cosy
What have you enjoyed about your home during the lockdown?
We already spent a lot of time at home pre-lockdown– so everything in our house is geared towards comfort. There is colour and texture everywhere and it’s a really enjoyable space to be in. We also feel really lucky to have a garden.
Is there a DIY job you've got round to that you're proud of?
I’ve whipped the garden into shape so it’s a nicer place to spend time. Indoors, not much DIY but I’ve just about managed to keep it clean most of the time!
If you could change anything about your home, what would it be?
The kitchen – it’s the only part of the house we’ve done NOTHING to since moving in and it really shows…
What’s the most recent thing you’ve bought for your home?
A Cosy candle, some Hibi incense matches and the gorgeous Carrie LED lamp by Menu – all from Maven of course!
What’s been your go-to meal in the last few weeks?
Like most of the nation I’ve been baking sourdough bread – so there’s been a lot of that appearing at every meal. I also love a batch cook so have been quite smug about my freezer – lots of nice comfort stuff in there like curries and pasta sauces that are super-quick to sort out at the end of the day.
Is there anything you’ve started to do during lockdown that you’d like to continue as ‘normality’ resumes?
I’m keen to carry on baking as it’s really satisfying and I’ve been giving little portions of sourdough starter out to friends. I love the idea of all those loaves springing from that one little pot of, er, yeast and bacteria. And my husband is quite keen that I DON’T continue with endlessly recording Tik Tok videos all over the house…
