This Saturday, 2nd December is Small Business Saturday, a day we can truly get behind. It’s a celebration of the small businesses that keep our cities interesting and vibrant.
At Maven, it’s also the start of our mulled wine Saturdays (every Saturday from now to Christmas). You know the drill, leave the car at home and come and hang out with us. We will have all sorts of nibbles on the go, tunes will be cranking and craic will be had!
This year, one of our favourite local artists, Esther O’Kelly will be joining us on Saturday with a selection of her paintings which will be available to purchase on the day. We’re BIG fans of Esther and we know you will love her work.
Do you have an American Express card? If so, they are doing a £5 credit when you spend £10 with us as part of their Shop Small campaign. Just make sure to enrol with them to get the offer.
The shop is currently rammed full of incredibly beautiful things that would make perfect Christmas gifts.
A piece from Isle jewellery would suit the person who appreciates a simple, pared back aesthetic. This range from N.Ireland/ Japan based sisters Geraldine and Helen is perfect for understated, everyday elegance.
Just arrived this week at Maven are our pouches and sleeves from Cherchbi. Constructed from tweed or leather, they are entirely made and designed in Britain using natural raw materials including vegetable-tanned English saddle leather and Herdwyck No.10 wool tweed.
Danish design studio “Stilleben” (Still Life) have collaborated with Skagerak on the Edge range which is making our hearts beat pretty fast here at Maven. The terracotta range is both raw and refined in equal measures.
If you’re not sure what to buy, then have a chat to us when you’re in and let our friendly team help you with a few suggestions.
See you then,
Team Maven. x
