We're always on the look out for new brands at Maven.  Last year we were invited to Copenhagen to meet the teams behind Astep, Brdr Kruger and New Works.  We fell in love and we think you will too.

A contemporary lighting brand offering new designs as well as relaunches of iconic pieces. Inspired by his father and grandfather, Alessandro Sarfatti and has created a brand respectful of the past and very much focused on the future.

BRDR.KRÜGER

Brdr. Krüger was founded as a wood-turning workshop by brothers Theodor and Ferdinand Krüger in 1886. For generations they have collaborated with some of the world’s best design and architecture talents to create an ever-evolving collection of furniture.  Today the 5th generation family company has evolved into a self-producing furniture brand, that celebrates classic Danish design values and embraces modernity. Continuing a legacy of craft and heritage, more than 130-years’ expertise is combined with modern techniques to create innovative designs with a timeless appeal.

New Works

New Works was founded in 2015 by Nikolaj Meier and Knut Bendik Humlevik from the desire to establish a design house where design comes to life with care and intent, and where there is room for creative experiments — a place for new works. Together with a small, dedicated team, they set out to define a curated collection of elevated yet accessible lighting and furniture.
